What's New in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010? In short, a lot. In addition to functionalities to address specific needs around financial systems, human resources, payroll and operation management you will find new, out of the box business collaboration integrations to other Microsoft products like Microsoft Word, Excel and SharePoint. Functionalities that will help you include:
- Speed planning and offer a clear route to deeper business analysis with role-based, personalized dashboards and KPIs that include charts, graphs, and gauges that allow access directly to Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Improve business intelligence by performing advanced analytics, such as what-if scenarios and predictive modeling and forecasting, in Excel by connecting built-in SQL Server data mining tools with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Reduce steps for routine tasks with enhanced workflow, including new workflows, integrated with Microsoft SharePoint workflow for onboarding employees, vendor approvals, and others.
Dynamics GP 2010 is the latest version of the Microsoft ERP application and is focused on smaller companies.GP 2010's new features include "role centers" to help the tasks of various types of users, as well as 400+ prebuilt reports for SQL Server Reporting Services and Excel. Microsoft has also improved GP's interoperability with SharePoint and PowerPivot, a self-service BI business intelligence tool. GP 2010 also features workflow improvements enhanced by other Microsoft applications, such as Word, Dynamics CRM, and Unified Communications.
Proven Track Record
The success of the Dynamics GP product is proven by market statistics: there are currently over 38,000 Dynamics GP customers worldwide in 910 industries/verticals and in over 100 countries. Microsofts' credibility in this marketplace is growing with its ever-expanding share of the ERP market and with its dominance of the mid-market comprising organizations with 50-5000 employees. A new licensing scheme now means that this solution is even more affordable and is being pitched at the lower end of the market as well.
